DRAMATIC SCENERIES AND SANDY BEACHES
Kefalonia is the largest Ionian island in Western Greece, with an area of 302 sq. miles and population of 45,000. The island offers a diverse range of natural beauty, including beaches, caves and mountains. It is an extremely green island due to the rainfall in the winter which provides for some beautiful sceneries completely unique to Kefalonia.
Lourdas particularly has a tropical climate and so has a wonderfully exotic flora. Mount Aenos is the only National Park situated on a Greek island and provides the dramatic backdrop to Lourdas beach. As an island, Kefalonia is understated, relatively undiscovered and has an element of raw magnificence.
